DoIT Vision
As an organization, DoIT aspires to reflect UMBC’s distinctive mission of inclusive excellence by providing great, reliable information technology. As staff partners, we collaborate to solve problems and create new opportunities that empower our campus colleagues. As professionals, we continuously share with and learn from our peers across higher education’s research, instruction, and business communities. Finally, as mentors, we provide our student employees with real-world experiences that advance their professional goals and positively impact UMBC.
DoIT Mission
DoIT provides robust, secure IT environments that enable solutions to advance the UMBC community. We achieve this through a team of exceptional student staff and nationally recognized technology professionals dedicated to serving our campus and the broader higher-education community. We advance UMBC’s mission and strategy by partnering with the colleges and divisions to support excellence in teaching, research, and services. Through our efforts, technology solutions will continue to contribute to UMBC’s national reputation as one of the most innovative universities.
